Being such a large state, Montana has a wide range of weather. It doesn’t rightly matter if you are roaming the vast plains and rolling hills of the east or trekking the mountainous terrain and roaring rivers in the west, you will find lightning a plenty in this gargantuan of a state.
Many of the old farm structures throughout Montana have a lightning rod system installed, however most of these systems are in dire need of maintenance. If you have an existing lightning rod system it is important that you have it inspected every few years to make sure it is up to standards.
